Submission Under God’s Authority

As Pastor Nick begins the third chapter of Titus, the Apostle Paul urges those in Crete to follow the lead of the political leaders that God has ordained to serve them, in so much as they do not hinder the greater allegiance that we owe to Christ. Verse 1-2 also remind Christians to let their conduct be a demonstration of their faith in Christ, in their speech and good works. 

‘Prayer Before, Prayer Behind’

In his final sermon in the series, Pastor Nick shows how prayer prepares us to experience God’s providential will, and prayer helps us to reflect back on the ways that God is sanctifying His people by answering their prayers, for their good and for His glory. 

‘Parables on the Heart of Prayer: God’s Heart’

Pastor Nick returns to chapter 11 of Luke to work through two more parables. These stories in verses 5-13 show us that God receives the petitions of His people gladly, generously supplying their needs according to His will.
